Barth - Cuxhaven

Die Picaroon aus dem Winterlager in Barth geholt und für die geplante Überführung nach Portugal vorbereitet. Das Unterwasserschiff diesmal besonders gründlich angeschliffen und mit zwei Antifoulinganstrichen versehen. Wer weiß, wann das nächste Mal dazu die Gelegenheit besteht. Den Mast gestellt und die neuen Segel angeschlagen.

Am 25.05. nachmittags abgelegt und wie fast immer den Wind im engen Fahrwasser direkt von vorne gehabt. In Barhöft auf der Reede die Nacht vor Anker verbracht und mit dem ersten Licht auf die Ostsee in Richtung Darßer Ort. Der Wind wehte nur schwach, sodaß der Motor bis zum Darßer Ort helfen musste. Danach konnte die Fehmarnsundbrücke direkt angelegt werden. Ein kleiner Schweinswal hat Gefallen an der Picaroon gefunden und uns für lange Zeit begleitet. Gleich hinter der Brücke in der Orther Bucht vor Anker gegangen. Mangels geeignetem Wind einen Ruhetag eingelegt und am Folgetag das Schießgebiet Todendorf umfahren müssen, da hier wieder Krieg gespielt wurde. Am späten Nachmittag noch in den NOK eingeschleust worden. Das ist alleine immer etwas spannend, hat aber gut geklappt.

Im Kanal 2 Übernachtungen , Flemhuder See und Schleuse Gieselau, vor Anker gemacht und genau bei Stillwasser die Schleuse zur Elbe in Brunsbüttel passiert. Vorher noch ein „ Schwesterschiff“ gesichtet. War wohl etwas größer, hieß aber auch Mistral. Mit dem Strom die Elbe abwärts bei aufkommendem Gewitter zur Citymarina Cuxhaven gesegelt. Nach Funkanmeldung die Straßenbrücke passiert und in der Citymarina festgemacht. Keinen Augenblick zu früh, Blitz und Donner kamen gleichzeitig mit ordentlichen Boen. Die erste Etappe meiner Einhandüberführung in den Süden ist geschafft. Die Picaroon bleibt jetzt für 4-5 Wochen hier liegen und bekommt noch ein neues Kuttersegel angepasst.

The Picaroon was taken from the winter berth ashore in Barth and prepared for the planned transfer to Portugal. This time, the underwater ship was sanded particularly well and provided with two antifouling paints. Who knows when next time will be the opportunity? On 25.05. started in the afternoon and almost always had the wind in the narrow fairway right from the front. In Barhöft spent the night at the anchorage and with the first light headed on the Baltic Sea in the direction of Darßer Ort. The wind blew only weakly, so that the engine had to help to the Darßer Ort. After that, the Fehmarnsund Bridge could be headed directly. A small porpoise took a liking to the Picaroon and accompanied us for a long time. Just dropped anchor behind the bridge in Orther Bucht. Due to the lack of suitable wind, a rest day had to be taken and on the following day the shooting area Todendorf had to be avoided, because of submarine exercises. In the late afternoon still into the NOK introduced. That's always exciting on its own, but it worked well.

In the channel I made 2 stopover at Flemhuder See and Schleuse Gieselau, and exactly with still water I passend the lock to the River Elbe in Brunsbüttel. With the current the River Elbe sailed down in the coming thunderstorm to the Citymarina Cuxhaven. After radio registration, the road bridge opened and moored in the city marina. Not one moment too early, lightning and thunder came at the same time with proper gust. The first stage of my one-hand transfer to the south is done. The Picaroon now stays here for 4-5 weeks and gets a new cutter sail adapted.
